Thank you! I was inspired by Claire Dederer's book Monsters.
I had a number of Unpleasant Celebrity Encounters while doing this sort of work but made a conscious decision not to include them, bad karma and all. The rest is all Peace Love and Understanding.
Thank you. Weirdest thing is how we (my wife was there too) kind of couldn't believe it, but thought it must be a one time thing. Little did we know, it happened (worse of course) over and over again over decades. How can it have gone on so long?
Fear. Shame. Threats. Hazy memories of the drugged victims. A society that says women, especially Black women, are lying so they can take a rich man’s money. The instincts of a predator and psychopath.
Chris. Good on you for deciding to take on this subject after all, and share the weird trauma. And for quoting Claire Dederer (I just finished "Monster").
I hope you got paid well for that creepy encounter.
Wow. It must have been hard to take the time and energy to write this so clearly! Well done, mate. XO

How odd that the man who played Cosby's fathers name is Earle Hyman. You write that his driver's name is the same?
Hi Susan, thanks for the comment. Research lead me to believe that, but I'm willing to stand corrected. Will look into further, thanks for the tip!
Jesus. I am so sorry he abused you in such a manner. What a vile, evil man.

Not really. But it was so sui generis that I kind of valued it, in a sort of "people are so fucking weird"kind of way.
And this is why I like you. Love that you appreciate that about our world.
