"Deep . . . " That was what American Rag owner Mark Wertz used to say whenever I baffled him ( He was Quite Sophisticated ). We've interacted over Pat Blashill, who, along with PhotoBill (Bill Daniel) and Dixon Colbourn WERE the defacto photographers of the late 70s-early 80s Austin Punk Scene. I wrote and recorded a Pome to Bill, and I think that you would like it, if I only had enough data to email/text it to you. I PROMISE to NEVER bug you. IF you have any interest, send info to ngates@mac.com. I've subscribed & UNsubscribed to over a dozen substacks, but you are PERMANENT, and On Lock.

Hi Nathan, thanks for the nice comment.

Didn't see your other post, with the pointer. Excellent, will check it out!

Posey always struck me as somebody that would be a hoot to hang out with. Of course, that assessment is totally based on her screen performances, but even then her sparkling personality shines in through. Sounds like, based on your time with her, that I guessed correctly 😁

Totaly. I will cop to realizing a little late that we were promoting Party Girl hence the cake and baloons but you are correct that she is Big Fun.

Just like the GOP is always suspecting a "psy-op"...I believe I planted that Guy Clark (no e) line in your subconscious by having quoted it in various comments at Wonkette for like the entire month prior.

Other fun: A quick look at that first pic without having seen the caption, and my first thought was that it was right around your old apartment. My weird brain is weird.

Sorry Craig, I run around singing that song, posting that line etc every July when the tomato crop comes in. I literally eschew tomatoes the entire rest of the year. So I cannot grant you credit there but will gladly join you in the Guy Clark's Tomatoes clubhouse.

PS no e! Damn, good catch, fixed...

Ah. Coincidence happens. Good to know I'm not the only one quoting it tho. :)

That article looks like it was in Rolling Stone magazine (especially that R at the top of the page). Is it possible?

It's totally possible, but I think Rolling Stone uses an RS branding, rather than just the R. I did a lot of work for them, so might be, but I believe I shot Parker for Premiere or US (also common clients of mine in those days).

Forgot to add: Party Girl is one of my all time favorite films. I think Parker Posey is as versatile as Barbara Stanwyck.
