Leonard Cohen is one of my favorite artists of all time. I love the picture where his head is tilted, chin resting on his hand. He looks so warm and gentle.
Thanks, Mapes! Mine too, though I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't really get it until after I got to hang out with him. "Warm and gentle" is a good description.
Man, working up my courage. Also don't like even allowing his evil karma into my life. I used to have this agent who wouldn't let me put evil fuckers in my portfolio for the same reason, so there is precedent. Noted, will put it on the list.
I like that concept, actually. Putting someone like that Out There in your work can be -- it can be cathartic, or it can just re-invoke the Evil. Hard to decide. (Personally I'm an ex-theatre person and a feminist "confessional" writer, so I believe in the power of ye olde katharsis. And I'm pretty woo-woo, so I believe in ways of protecting oneself psychically from crappy-ass energy.)
Certainly easier to slander or speak ill with ensuing events. The feeling I had for Cosby turned out improbably, to be exactly true. I will do it, promise. But in the meantime, I'm having a lot more fun reminiscing about fun people like Joe Strummer. Onward!

Lovely. Nice portraits, Leonard Cohen an amazing songwriter.
And now maybe you can tell us about Cosby??!!
Thanks, Tiff.
